This \1 carpet takes the name of the city of Bukhara on the border between Russia and Iran. Its classic design based on the repetition of motifs arranged regularly throughout the field is a splendid example of balance and harmony of shapes and decorations. The wools of the Russian Bukhara are unique for their softness and sheen. Weft and fleece in wool. Production period: between the 80s and 90s.
This rug is hand knotted and therefore there may be slight differences in shape, thickness and pattern. This is particularly noticeable in rural and nomadic carpets. The slight imperfections of these hand-made artifacts increase their value and attest to the craftsmanship of the workmanship.
