Produced by Cassina and designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa, the "Soriana " series won the Compasso d 'Oro award in 1970 and the design enjoyed enormous success in the following decade. The concept behind the Soriana was a bundle of fabric or leather held in a chromed metal frame that aims not only to look comfortable but also to be very comfortable. Still one of the main best-sellers of the made in Italy company, Soriana looks like a 3-seater sofa upholstered in dark brown cashmere velvet.
