DESCRIZIONE
Hand-knotted \1 from Iran. Excellent density of asymmetrical knots, with triple weft in cotton and fleece in wool. Produced in the mid '80. Yazd is the last holy city of the Zoroastrian cult in Iran, which still hosts religious communities and a fire temple, the Mobad.
This rug is hand knotted and therefore there may be slight differences in shape, thickness and pattern. This is particularly noticeable in rural and nomadic carpets. The slight imperfections of these hand-made artifacts increase their value and attest to the craftsmanship of the workmanship.
